I took my daughter on a bike ride at Peace Valley Park. I hadn’t been there for over thirty years and as we rode around the lake, I had a strong memory of this birdwatching structure off the path. I’m not sure why I remembered this particular thing so strongly so I stopped and took some photos. Back in the studio, thinking about the experience, I made a relationship between the photographs of that place and the Threshold drawings I had just completed because it felt like time had stood still and passed so quickly all at the same time.
